This kitchen was opened up to the dining room by removing the partial wall separating them. It was enlarged by moving the sliding glass door wall out 5 feet and the portion of the wall with the window connecting to it was pushed out by 4 feet.
Our client wanted the grey perimeter counter top material as you see here. We balanced it with the lightly mottled white solid surface counter top material on the island and peninsula. We chose the very pale grey subway tile for the majority of the backsplash. As an accent we went with the stacked Calcutta marble that covers the entire wall over the range.
This family now has room for their friends to gather in the kitchen for the many parties they like to have!
